The Covid-19 pandemic has affected nearly every aspect of our lives this year. Quarantine, socially-distanced activities and telecommuting are things we have had to adjust to since March. However, one of the most affected by these changes are our children and students.

Virtual learning has become the new normal for students throughout the United States. With little time to prepare, many families are facing challenges helping their children get the most out of virtual learning. Often attending school from a kitchen table, a couch or even their beds, students are finding it even harder to focus and stay organized. With tips and tricks coming from experts and teachers, one of the biggest recommendations was creating a dedicated space for virtual learning. Experts believe that a dedicated physical space for remote learning can help provide consistency and help maintain a separation from school time and personal time.

With students in our community facing similar challenges, it was time to step up and find a way to help. As office furniture manufacturers, we know the importance of having an organized and comfortable place to focus on the work of employees and now, students. OMNI Pacific donated 24 desks to students within the community who are transitioning to virtual classrooms this year. With this donation we hope to bring a sense of normalcy to students lives by providing them with an area that allows them to focus on school, free from distractions.
